No Mo SHO
I was chasing down a high pitched whine that I thought was a vacuum leak, and it turned out to be the Secondary Vacuum cannister. Though, it isn't leaking.
The rear secondary butterflies will not completely close without assitance, and was causing the cannister to hum.
The observations I have made so far include:
- with no vacuum applied, the butterflies move freely, or as freely as the front bank that operates properly.
- No vacuum lines are pinched. In fact, pinching any of the lines will cause the butterflies to open properly.
- I can 'assist' the butterflies in closing, and when I do, it sort of 'pops' closed, the cannister stops making noise.
I am wondering if the vacuum line is colapsed, or worse...the diaphram inside the canister on the butterfly itself is damaged.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
