When my JBL went out, it drove me crazy trying to figure out what was wrong. Eventually, I determined that my CD player was causing the problem (no sound). Simply dis-connecting the CD player still didn't allow the stereo to work. I was losing my mind because I like the factory look and impressive sound from the JBL's. After much thought, I caved.

I broke down and decided to upgrade. But, and I stress but, I wanted to retain my factory amps and speakers. I attempted to use the speaker harness that is supposed to by-pass the amps. It didn't work so I used this part and now can use all the factory components.

The sound is incredible. I'm an old heavy metal, hair band lover and I don't need 6 sub woofers.
The stereo I chose was the DUAL XDVD from Walmart for $198.00. All I needed was the in-line adaptor and harness adaptor. The final look was impressive and all I had to do was cut the cross bar that separates the radio and CD player. I think it looks and sounds great. I hope this helps anyone on the fence about this topic.

Let me know what you think. The hardest part was getting the trim out.
