Hi all I just got a 92 winter SHO and the horn, stereo and keypad don't work. All the other electronics work fine. I checked all the fuses and all were fine. Then I checked the power to the amps (JBL) and there is power to the constant, the remote wire, and the ground is good. I also swapped the HU out with a known good one and still nothing. Got any ideas? All I got on the horn is a clicking sound from under the dash. The keyless box in the trunk is there and plugged in but nothing from the pad... Any help and suggestions would be great.

Regarding the horn, my SHO developed the same symptoms about a month ago, so I unhhooked the electrical connectors to the horns (there are 2) and made sure I was getting voltage to the horns when the horn pad was pressed. That checked out OK, so I cleaned up the connectors real good with contact cleaner and compressed air, and I also used some emery cloth where the connectors clip on.

Re-connected the wires and VIOLA, worked like a charm thumb , so now I'm back to blowing my horn at all the idiot drivers around here!

Ok, I'll check the horns that way. Does anyone know if you can check the JBL amps to see if they even come on? The PO said that if you left the radio on while driving everyonce in a while it would turn on for 10-30 seconds.

If anyone is interested I fixed the horn and the stereo. The horn problem was due to dirty connections and the main JBL amp was dead. Still no suggestions on the keypad not working?

Your problem is that you are entering the factory code into the keypad on he driver's door but getting no response?

Does pressing the keypad buttons do anything? The keypad itself should light up when you press any of the buttons, and the interior lights should also turn on.

How about the rest of the door lock system, does it work OK when you use the door switches?

I get nothing at all. The rest of the lock system works fine. Also when the door is locked none of the interior lights come on when the handle is lifted. It does the same thing for the passenger side. Does it sound like the box is in-op? All the connections are fine to the box and under the dash. Should I pull the door panel and check the connections in there?
