stereo feedback - wierd

Hey stereo heads, I have a wierd one for ya. I bought a JVC in-dash CD player from crutchfield, and got the wiring harnesses and whatnot for the installation.

Problem is, that with the stereo at low volumes and when I go through the gears in my MTX I get a distinctive feedback sound, in sync with the acceleration. When I clutch, it goes away, and when I gas it comes back. It doesn't do it, or it's not noticable, at higher volumes.

In other words, from a stop going through the gears its feedback in 1st, quiet with clutch, feedback in 2nd, quiet with clutch, etc.

Any thoughts, other than turning up the volume? wink

To clarify, it almost sounds like a kid immitating a mini-bike or something, going
weeeeeeeee-weeeeeee-weeeeeeeee

check your ground wire, it may be grounding itself out and/or check all your speaker connections, are they lose? touching eachother, why did you buy a JVC, that was the 1st mistake, they are notoriously bad in the feedback dept., it may just be a bad indeck amplifier..

You've got a ground loop some where in the system. The sound you here is produced by the alt. and if you turn your radio all the way down you will here it the best. You can rev the motor and actually increase the freq of the sound. You need to ground something better radio if that's all you added or you may need a noise filter.
