Steering Question

I just purchased a 93 ATX and the steering is very loose. There seems to be no resistance whatsoever when turning the wheel. My last 93 ATX seemed much tighter than this. Is this normal? What would be need to tighten this up?

Does it feel just as loose at higher speeds like it does at lower speeds? IF so perhaps your VAPS system needs attention.
