Hey All,
Have a question. On my 95 ATX I have been tracking down a noise and am wondering if what I think it could be is possible.

Tie rods inner and outer are new, power steering system has been flushed, replaced the sloppy worn universal joints in the steering column between the rack and firewall area. This has corrected alot of the looseness and sloppy feeling the car had on center.

When making a turn, usually right, at about 3/4-1 turn of the steering wheel to the right ( a fairly tight turn) I will get this groan and a very subtle vibration in the steering wheel. Unless it is a problem with the rack could an underdrive pully setup cause in-sufficent pumping to the rack? Which might cause this noise/ feel?

Apparently this car was modded by a previous owner with underdrive pullys but I have no idea what brand, size, etc. And i am wondering if that could cause the problem.

Thanks

I expect you will find bad bearings on the strut mounts on top of the struts.
