This is rather strange for me.

I have static that comes in and out when I play CDs on my stock CD player.

I pulled the unit out and reseated the connections. Did the same in the back on the stock amps.

If i hit the dashboard with my fist the static stops for about 5 - 10 seconds and then fades back in.

Anyone have any experience with this?

Can I get an aftermarket unit and buy a wiring harness to adapt it to utilize the stock amps? Sorry I do not like the idea of butchering a harness.

If you're sick of stock anyways, yes, you can buy harnesses for the JBL system that utilize the stock amps and sub. Makes the job a simple plug-and-play install if you dont want to hack into the stock harness.

I found mine on circuit city..had to buy two

One hooked up to my panasonic head unit and had a universal connector on the end, and the other harness had a female connector for the first harness and plugged into the stock stereo wiring.
