New poster to this site - 1994 ATX 3.2: Anybody have problems with starting circuit conductivity? New battery b/c old one quit; the cable clamps appear to be replacements (nut/bolt clamps onto the actual cable; not molded to cable); little, if any, corrosion; also replaced serpentine belt though not relevant to this issue; battery indicates full charge; CCA's appropriate to a large V6. What it now does - solenoid "clicks" but no power to crank engine; all lights come on properly prior to attempted start; no loose connections elsewhere; not shorts or compromised fuses; accessories function like they have much less power being supplied to them. My take on this - either internal cable failure or the replacement clamps are not making a good connection. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Turn on your headlights and see if they dim when you try to start the car. If they do not then the starter is not getting any voltage. May be internal to the starter, may be the solenoid (is it clicking at least once?), may be the cables at the starter, may be the solenoid power wire.
