94 Taurus Starting no crank. Been starting great, no problem. Shut it off yesterday little warm from cooling fan problem. Went to start and no crank so checked wires and connections which all seems good. Starter clicks so can someone confirm my suspicion of bad solenoid?

It will click with a bad solenoid. If you are stuck somewhere, hit it with a hammer and sometimes it will jar it enough to crank. (seriously) The solenoid can be rebuilt, but hey it's 20 years old, and is easy to just replace the starter with a rebuilt unit. Did mine 15 years ago and still crankin.
