For Gen II, I believe the positive cable is 3-gauge, and the ground cable 4-gauge wire.

I know my '97 has 6 ga and am pretty sure the '93 had 6 ga. Anything bigger is over **** and Ford sure would not do that.
The SHO does not have any large current draws that would require the bigger wire when compared to a SLO.
