Im a bit confused with my car. It ran perfect till it started getting really cold this winter. It used to crank over with ease start right up.Now it barely cranks, it grunts just to start, then after you run it a while, shut it off, its ok.It will crank over alright, but then other times it will act if its straining to crank over. Ive tried 3 differant batteries, but still the same thing with each one.Im not sure if its the starter because I thought they would make a noise when going out, or if its the alt or voltage regulator. I just wanted to get your opinion, thanks.

3 different new fully charged batteries or just 3 different batteries. Keep in mind that the amount of cranking power will decrease with the temperature. Autozone can check your starter, alt and battery.

I had bought a brand new battery for the car, but it started acting up not long after that so I took it back, and got a differant one ,then it did nothing,so I went back got a differant battery and it went back to as before acting up. The battery I have now isnt new. Yea its cranking over really hard, sometimes not at all, like a couple grunts and thats it, and other times it will crank like in a series aof a few grunts and start.
