Sounds like the ignition key switch is suspect.

coldsho:
just pulled a 6-3-4 code, what is that???
The definition for DTC 634 is: Transmission Range (TR) voltage higher or lower than expected.

This can be a result of the PCM detecting that the TR sensor is out of Self-Test range when the gear selector is in Park, or that the PCM has detected an invalid combination of transmission range switch states. (IOW, the Park/Neutral Postition switch and the MLP (Manual Lever Position) sensors disagree as to where the shift lever is.)

Sounds like you could have a bad MLP sensor on the tranny, a bad PNP sensor, or the shift linkage may just require adjustment.

This could also be the reason you're experiencing starting problems.
