I put a 3000 stall in my v6 a few years ago and i kind of regret it. really only for the little extra gas it uses if im sitting in stop and go traffic or driving around town from stop light to stop light. but for those times when i want to beat on it, it is a little more fun to have the extra torque but again, not worth it to me. i would rather have the extra fuel economy for how i use the car but thats me. i have mtxs if i want to have fun... Hope that helps

Transtrar catolog for Torque converter 08 edition. FM59 (2 or 3 Tabs) 94-96 Taurus SHO 3.2L, 3.4L
The one I used for my 97 SHO FM59A (4 Tabs) 97 and up 3.4 SHO
My oem converter had 4 tabs. I didnt order mine till I had my old one out to verify the 4 tabs inside the hub.
When I searched Fm59a it showed its a high stall converter. How high ? I search the forum and I thought I read higher the stall better response but you loose fuel mileage.
Hope the build goes well !!!
