:thumb: Good to hear. The list keeps growing. Everyone keep spreading the info to any known SHO owners who do not frequent this board. Still hopeful this turns out to be a good one! :thumb:

I'm sad to report that after 12 years of SHO ownership, it all came to an end last night due to some woman making an illegal left hand turn. She clipped a BMW who in turn sideswiped me and pushed me into the concrete base of a streetlight- head-on...I was going around 50 mph. My 6 year old son was in the back seat and we were able to walk (he walked, I limped) away from it. Both of my knees are killing me and my right hand is EXTREMELY sore.

But it could have been worse so I'm trying to stay positive! When this get together happens, if I'm able to come, I'd like to meet some of you if you don't mind me being SHO-LESS.

Tom,

Sorry to hear about your "encounter", but glad to hear you and the little fella walked away. I have similar concerns with the cell-phone talking, oblivious folk  on today's roads. I wish you a speedy recovery and an amicable settlement on your losses.

Tom,
Glad to hear that you were both able to walk away from the accident. Terrible to hear about your SHO. Will keep you posted on this scheduled get together. Of course we'd never mind having any SHO enthusiasts attend!

Keep us posted on your recovery and replacement vehicle.

Take it easy!

Thanks for the kind words...

As far as a replacement vehicle, I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do...I was planning on keeping the SHO for quite a while...Just had the 60K maintenance done and some mods to it last summer...she only had 80K on the clock and the interior was perfect - body had some hail damage and door dings but the interior was in extremely good condition.

My wife & I just bought a new car for her in 2003 so I'm really not looking forward to making 2 new car payments...Plus, I have no idea of what other type of car I'd like - what car can replace the SHO? A CTS-V would be nice but I don't have $50K laying around :)

How bout another SHO? It seemed like you liked this one so maybe another one deserves your love and devotion.

Saturday night i was going back to a friends house and when i got off 270 at Gravois, I saw a green Gen 2 that looked like it was hit headon by or hit a Volvo. It was terrible. The drivers looked like they walked away but the cars were smashed pretty good.

Glad to hear you and your son are okay :thumb: . Good luck with your current situation.

That thought has crossed my mind but to be honest, I think it would be hard to find one with comparable mileage in the same condition. But for now, I'm open to all suggestions/ideas...

Could you please post the date, time and location again? I've checked this thread off and on but it's gotten a bit confusing. Thank you!

So I'm assuming the SHO's will be parked together in part of the parking lot of D&B's?

What if it's raining April 2nd?

Tom

There should be more than enough parking space at the South end of the lot for us all to park together. If it's raining, guess that will just give us more time to enjoy the games inside........ Do we want to go through with the gathering if it's raining? I'm indifferent at this time.....

Use this link if you have any questions on finding the location. Hope to see several there.

I'll be having a sheetrock hanging party that day if I can get enough in-laws lined up.

Sorry to miss this get-together.

I'm planning on being there, driving a blue '95.

BTW, anyone planning on bringing their womenfolk??

Doubtful that the wife will attend this one. Our little 2 year old tends to enjoy nap time around then (2pm).

I certainly plan on being there in the black 89. Just got home from another road trip with her. Wow, what a joy to drive on the interstates!!!

There is one more that I know of, stlooiesho. He doesn't post much (if any) on the forum but I do know he plans on being there. If we are fortunate enough to have 11 attendees, that will be the most on hand that I can remember. Looking forward to tomorrow. The weather forecast seems perfect!
