April 2nd should be fine. I looked again for the ATX at midwest sho and he must have sold it. Oh well.

When I had my tranny rebuilt I called around for whoever had worked on the AXOD-E before and found a guy at Mr. Transmission in Columbia that had. He also was a 20+ year veteran of the business. I had them install a transgo shift kit and do a full overhaul and a new torque converter. They replaced almost everything they could with newer parts from 97/99+ trannys.

I really like the way the car shifts and do not feel afraid to open the car up at any moment... but I also have an extra tranny cooler and a Tweecer. If interested I also have a D4U1 I don't need any more.

I have the horrible 94 ATX also, thinking about fixing it or parting it out, possibly just selling it. It has a really bad oil leak right now, leaking from somewhere onto the cat, every time I stop it looks like my engine is on fire, and I have to add oil every couple days (quite a bit of oil lately). I need to find a part/price list, like the sticky post but theres no part #'s or places to get it for cheap so I can give it to the transmission shop. They said they've done alot of taurii + a few SHO's MTX and ATX. April 2nd sounds good, I never thought of checking calendars.

Your oil leak is likely from the rear cam seal. Look at the top of your power steering pump/bracket, if it is oily it is the cam seal.

I figured it was something like that, I was thinking of fixing the rear end and everything and then selling it instead of parting it out, but the interior is wrecked too (bought it for cheap, was rear ended, interior was cut up, and the VSS is out along with the 60K needs to be done badly)

If any of you guys are interested and have the time, my college (Ranken) is having a car show on April 7. Its free to attend and you can enter your car in the show for only $5. If you enter the car show and win, there will be anything from tools to car care products and everything in between.

My school and department would greatly appreciate as many people as can come. If you know someone that likes to do these sort of things, let em know. Anyone and everyone is more than welcome to come out. And it would be nice to pull in there with some other shos so im not the only loser with a taurus in a car show.

Hah! You ask the same question as does my wife!

Am currently about 90% finished with both the rough wall plumbing and electrical systems. All the ductwork for the HVAC is in. Hopefully, I will be calling for my rough inspections in a week or so, then I can begin insulating and hanging drywall. Probably will be moving late spring. I am doing most of the work by myself right now with occasional help from family members. Goes slowly that way..

If you want to have a sheetrock-hanging party some Saturday next month, let me know and I'll send out the invitations and order the food and drinks...

I did put 10' walls in that extra garage. A lift can still be added.....

WOW! nice looking house Steve. I didn't realize you were so handy in the building trades. So you will have an attached garage AND a separate SHOP? Cool. I like the dormers and is that a skylight portico over the front entry? Very nice. Where did you learn all this?

My wife gets the credit for picking the desgin. It's her dream home in the country on 5 acres (all wooded). That's a half-round window in the front that, on the inside, overlooks the entry foyer and the stairwell.

I learned alot over the years doing smaller projects and from watching TV shows. It also helps that almost all the guys in my wife's family are competent in the building trades. Also, her dad spent many years as a building contractor. Lots of in-family resources (all except for manual labor).

Unfortunately, I can't guess completion percentages well or forecast timelines since I don't have enough experience. Still need a few good days before calling for those inspections...still wiring, still framing, still installing plumbing pipes....

Actually, I learned everything from watching "This Old House". Also learned everything I know about cars (and women) from listening to "Car Talk".

Yessir, Steve learned everything on T.V., and sdpatt became a nuclear engineer via correspondence courses. BTW, Steve is a very knowledgeable, practical fellow. I'm all for attending an event in March or April, and will drive "Big Red". Missus' daily car is now '97 Park Avenue Ultra (HEY, better than a minivan, and the kids like it ) "You ain't beatin' an intercooled Eaton." [Great $600 investment (intercooler)]

The ultra's are an even bigger sleeper than the SHO in my opinion. There a big a$$ boat but i think theyre still capable of high 15's.

Indeed, sir, it is a big-*** boat. Bought it to protect the kids, and insisted on an Ultra. Found a one-owner ride from decent senior citizens, then added 3.4 pulley and intercooler. No KR, and probably at 15.0 (no dyno to support this claim). Poor man's Cadillac, and will outrun the Northstar big-time in daily driving. I'm not a particular fan of the General, but the 3800 is one well-developed engine (used to **** after GN, and in the mid to late 80's pointed out to others they'd best respect THAT badge.) Holds true today; most of those hard-cores have an Autotap and a laptop in the passenger seat!

a friend of mine on here has a Regal GS w/ a 3.4 pulley and it is one ballsy m/f. There is a guy that goes to school with me that has a pretty hard hitting GTP that is a low 13 sec car. Speaking of which, has anyone thought about the comment I made about the car show? To hopefully entice you a little more, there is FREE BBQ AND DRINKS ALL DAY LONG!
