I replaced my front left a couple years ago. I am getting a constant squeal from my front right that goes away when I apply the brake. Constant squeak/squeal from 0-50 MPH. Moderate brake and it goes silent. Brakes are relatively new - couple years, maybe 8,000 miles. OEM MC SD pads.

Anyone have that symptom on our cars and it was the wheel bearing? Brakes don't seem to be dragging.

I had similar problem that started on my 2010, it began as a almost growl and sounded almost like tires howling. It progressed over time untill I could hear all the time except during breaking or turning slightly. Ended up being hub assemblies on passenger side I'm deaf in left ear so sounds often seem to come from elsewhere and take a little time to confirm. I thought the front was the noise but the rear bearing was worse. Repair was cheap and uncomplicated but took a lot of effort. I got two new hub assemblies from Detroit axle for about a hundred bucks total. Then spent several hours with a four pound sledge trying to get old ones out with no success. A mechanic friend loaned me a tool called "hub buster" and a ten pound sledge and in a couple minutes the hub assembly was out. The hub buster costs about a hundred bucks and worth every penny. If you can do brakes and rotors or follow you tube vids buy the tool and parts or be prepared for mechanic to quote anywhere from three hundred to a thousand bucks because they know unless you have hub buster you will probably never get it yourself.

LOL - I own a hub buster. I needed it for the left front. I've even got the Timkin replacement bearing on hand. It is just that the sound has been there for about 3-4,000 miles and is exactly what you would expect from a slightly dragging metallic brake pad. Same noise, never really changes.

Really, wondering if anyone has that noise and it was due to a wheel bearing assembly?

Brakes can squeal from a number of things. Usually its because of who installed them. Maybe they are at the squealer metal, take rim off and bend it a tad and see if it quiets up. Or flush the caliper and pad and rotor with brake cleaner, sometime brake dirt gets stuck in there and squeals.
