K, well, here's my issue....I think I know the answer, but I want a semi-professional opinion other than my own...

my subframe squeaks when I hit the brakes/turn/change lanes. Sounds like it's coming from the rear, close to my feet. Now, I had the front subframe bushings replaced with a pair of aluminum ones off my 94 (didn't do all four cuz I didn't want the subframe sitting on the ground while I was trying to get rid of it). the reason being is because the front subframe nut stripped out and the rubber bushing got shredded.

And now, the subframe's squeaking. My thoughts are because of aluminum in the front and rubber in the back......causing deflection...making noise...etc.

Thoughts? Opinions? Funny sayings?

most likely your rear SFB's. See if you can get a set of Gen III SFB's to stick in there, the rears are most likely shredded

Is it only audible when braking??

If so I might have a problem of my own..Mine has a sorta dullish squeaking to it when braking..And I have ASFBs on all four corners..Maybe I should worry??

I was thinking it was my shot strut rod cup..But maybe its the subframe. Ill Re-torque them tommorrow.

this might be a sugestion because i had this problem with my old GL before. it turned out to be my tie rod end for the steering rod believe it or not, all i did was put some grease in there and it was all gone.
