Brake squeal is due to the rapid vibrations of the braking components and is caused by the materials and conditions of the braking components. There could even be road grit embedded in the pads that is abrading the rotors.

To determine what is causing the problem you will need to remove the pads and rotors and inspect them. The rotors can be resurfaced for about $5-$8 at local auto supply stores, machine shops or cra repair shops.

If the pads are in poor condition, they can be replaced or you can expose a fresh surface by rubbing the pads on sandpaper on a very flat surface. Chances are that the are cheap quality and should be replaced.

What pads do you have? There seems to be a disagreement between the rotors and pads. If the pads are Performance Friction Carbon Metallic, I am very surprised at the result. If not PF-CM, give 'em a try. They have served me very well.

half-way there, I think.
If the pad compound is an aggressive one they will squeal. You might consider replacing the pads, turning or replacing the rotors if you can't stand the sqealing. Scott's choice of pad is a good one and what I currently run on my 13" Baer Claw track kit.
