my gen 2 has been sputtering under medium to hard acceleration for the last 2 days. I thought I just had bad gas in there but after a fill up and a bottle of lucas fuel injector cleaner it is still doing it. Has anyone had this problem?

Mine started doing this after i had driven through some heavy rain. I did the same thing you did and since no check engine light came on i didn't know what was going on. I pulled one of the spark plug wires on the front of the motor to find that it was full of water. I guess the rain got in there some how. So i sucked it all out and made sure it was dry and problem solved. Hopefully thats all your problem is. Good luck

same thing happened to my turboSHO on the way to pitsburg for a TCCA meet. rain = water in plug wells for me aparently.

what i use to do when my atx had oil in the wells was i would disconnect my dis pull the plugs out of all cylinders. put a rag in each and crank till the oil was gone. then clean the plugs and put them back in. connect everything back up. but a 60k is probally in order for you or at least plug well seals.
