Spring Run planning, your input needed here

this is a suggestion from Mike:
Has New Braunfels been done before? (I'm new to the SHO Club). We could cruise down there in the SHO's then float on down the river in tubes (with coolers!). April is around the best time to go due to the river being up.

If anyone else has ideas, please post them here. April will probably be the month for the run, so times a wasting.

I know that the Spring run in the past has been done in Austin, but that would be the ideal place for all of texas to meet in the center. That way no one group has to go to far. And yes the guadalupe river in New braunfels is another good place it has a nice sceanery and it is centraly located.

(by the way, I think they dont allow alcohol drinks down the river anymore but that might have changed)

For those who do like an occasional beverage with alcohol..you can drink and float (no glass though).

I've never done this before, but I heard the last one in Austin was REALLY awesome. Something about a big line of like 21 SHOs doing 100 all through the mountainous area of West Austin. hehehe Sounds like a really kick @$$ time, so I'm in for whatever. The route last year sounds pretty cool, and it would not be new to me...but I would rather cater to everyone else though since they've done it before. So...doesn't matter to me. What days is this on by the way? Hopefully a Saturday & Sunday...or at earliest Friday night. Later!

Brian, it's always done on a saturday. Some people have stayed on sunday and done another leg of the run if they want.

I like driving over friday night, then hanging out with everyone and getting a good nite's rest. That way everyone is well rested for the curvy roads that will demand every driver's attention saturday. It's a full day of aggresive driving, and high speed runs (my favorite)

I'm currious, we have a taco maker here in houston who likes SHO's and tacos. Where would the taco maker go on a spring run if he had the choice? I guess the border

Do you guys know how cold the river will still be in april? It wont have had a chance to warm up yet! lol so I doubt I'd be getting in my bikini and dipping into 50-60 degree water!! lol im just teasing you guys but still, it will be freezing.

Anyways I would like to come too if im invited, since i dont drive a SHO , but depends on the exact date, early april would be better than late april for me. Prom is april 27th here i think.
