Ok, I checked my SPOUT connector by the self-test connector (for those looking for them - they are 1/2" square 1/4" thick grey blocks on chunky black 2 wire sockets).

Where is the other one? The manual says it's "under the coil pack" but I couldn't see it.. Do you have to literally remove the coil pack to see it? I was poking around but didn't see it at all.

Jeff,

What manual?

The Helms and the EVTM for my 89 make no reference to a 2nd SPOUT connector. Mine is in the harness next to the cam sensor and near the EEC and STI connectors.

I did notice a second identical looking plug in the harness under the coil pack on mine.

Not sure if it's the same as yours.

I use the alldatadiy.com service as my "manual" and it has scans of the Ford shop manuals. The SPOUT connector you mention under the coil pack is the same as mine. I need to hook up a timing gun to see if my timing is advancing correctly and I figired I could at least make sure that the plugs are there.
