yesterday my exhaust suddenly sounded louder but not bad like a leak. it also seemed to be coming from the tips not somewhere on the system. could something have been clogged up and got blown out? i just got a new battery because the old one was bad and drained at high revs and now that i have a new one ive been going WOT at stops etc. could something have been clogged up and then blown out when i went WOT?

Are you sure you weren't listening to the exhaust while the car was cold (just started)? I've noticed my SHO is a lot louder and raspier after you first start it if it's cold.

what type of mufflers are you running?

its a possibilty that a piece of the muffler broke inside.

i have a fully dynomax cat-back system. mufflers and all. theres a possibility its a broken muffler i guess. it wasnt just the secondaries and its not that its just warmed up. i noticed exactly when it seemed to start. was just getting on the highway and had opened it up in 3rd then once i got into 5th it seemed louder.

i have a dynomax system and mine got louder also. after checking i found some nice size holes on the topside of the pass side ****.water must sit up there or just alot of moisture with not much air flow in that general area.ill wait til it falls off or spring gets here.

My Dynomax DID fall off last week! Thing was rusted completely out inside, plus a few small holes outside. This was my third set of Dynos, all free with the warranty! Other two either rusted out or had the right rear mount weld come loose.

Dynos sound great, but don't last more than a regular muffler. Couple years or so.

So.. do you think they would last longer if you painted them with some 1500 degree header paint? Or would they rust out just the same?

that will protect the outside, but you'll still have the rust problem in the muffler.
Even with the drain ports, all the water does not drain....
