Well I'm buying a low miledge engine for my 93 MTX next week. And i figure before i put it in, i'll do the 60k, and have a new clutch installed right away. Has anyone had experience with the SPEC clutch offered on spmotorsports.com? i see it's a new item, and it seems to be a cheaper clutch. I want the stage two, but if anyone has experience with these, i'd like to hear it. Or any other clutch suggestions or info you wanna give me! Thanks!

I've run four clutches in 90,000 miles since new.
The best was the original factory clutch, it lasted 32,000 miles.
The Ford "service" Valeo clutch is also very good. It has a very light pressure on the pedal and is a 30,000 mile clutch.
I also used the Centerforce dual friction and don't recommend it. It wore out at 20,000 miles of "normal" driving.
At $219 you can't beat the Ford clutch.

I replaced my clutch with a ford clutch. I like how its light, but it doesnt grip enough. If i have to go up a small hill my clutch takes it time to grip. I am also interested in theses clutches.

See, that's the thing, when i let'er go, i want my SHO to take off. I have a few bolt ons, nothing major, but i would like to get some HyperCams, i kind of want a tougher than stock clutch, but i also want it too last. I drive my SHO aggressively, which i'm sure is part of the problem. :)
