Recently my speakers cut out and they sound like shit. They have absolutely no bass and the rear sub doesn't even kick on and they simply are not nearly as loud and just sound bad. This leads me to believe that the stock amp has went bad. If the JBL amp is no longer good do I have to replace it with a good JBL amp or can i use a mach amp from an 97-99 SHO?

The amp is on the sub. I have a complete '96 JBL system if you are interested.

I have a similar problem that I have never spent any time working on. My sub has not worked ever. Always figured it was a wiring issue due to an after market system that was previously installed and then switched back to stock.

You can use a Mach rcu but will loose the middle subwoofer (but the mach unit will send the sub frecuencies to the four speakers: front and back) Not like the jbl that only send sub signal to the front door speakers and middle sub.
