My driver's door speaker (stock) has begun to distort terribly. I heard this may mean it got wet. I'm hoping for some nice Polk speakers soon, so what's a good way to keep them from suffering a similar fate? The same person commented that is may be difficult to insulate the speaker completely. Any ideas?

You might want to check your weather stipping at the windows. That is the only place that I know of that will allow water to get in. If no water is in there it may be time for a new head unit.
