Does anyone have any recommendations for better spark plugs? The OEM are fine, but there has to be a aftermarket plug manufacturer that can improve performance and I used Bosch Platinum +4 but that was at least two vehicles ago. They worked great on the Jeep Cherokee then but trying to see if any other newer plugs can improve on that technology. I see diamond fire E3 advertised but haven't heard any reports from the Taurus Community especially the E/B V6.

OEM's are re-branded NGK's.

Although you may be of the opinion that there "has to be" a better (aftermarket) plug to improve performance.....

In this instance however (particularly the Motorcraft SP534's which are the recommended OEM plugs to date) there hasn't been any aftermarket plug proven by the community to perform better.

Yeah, Ford really did a bangup job in some areas. Hard to improve on the intake, hard to improve on spark plugs (once the 534's replaced the 528's), etc. :)

Without removing one as a sample does anyone know of the "Cutoff" date of when they switched from the 528 to 534 plugs? My build date is Jan20,2014

I did find that all plugs were gapped at .032, none were out of spec on mine. Also for those doing a thermostat squeeze the hose on both the catch can and thermostat side, this will help burp the system.
