I have a 90 SHO, mtx and still is as strong as ever besides the body work.
ever since a few months ago one spark plug poped out while driveing and its sounds like a poor harley running. then i found out that the spark plug stripped out the head and i had to put a thread savering the the head and now it works but now another plug came shooting out and i was woundering if that is caused by the alumnium head fatigueing??????????? the car has over 190 k miles on it but it still can kick alot of ass :thumb:

they might not have heat treated the head right at the factory, I can't imagine how it could pop out.

they had the same problem with the 4.6L 2 valve but that's a half thread hole and when you get (( non-torqued spark plug + minimum tolerances threads) + non treated heads ) = only 2-5 threads engaged = liberated plugs

hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it sounds like your gonna need some new heads. Not unless you take yours off and have a machine shop redo the affected plugs. then you could run different sized plugs in those. (dont know if thats possible or not, but it sounds plausible)

or better yet, find a 3.2 and drop it in.... :naughty:

that's friggin' weird, dude. I've never heard of that before. Yeah, sounds like you got some bum head.(s) I think Josh has it right when he says to drop a 3.2 in there :p. But yeah, at the least replace the heads. The whole assembly is suspect.

i really dont want to replave the heads cause of $$$$$ issues but i found out that save-a-thread works well in the head cause u install a steel thread into the aluminum head the spark plug doesnt pop out any more and its a cheap fix untill i get MORE $$$$$$
Unless some one would want to buy some parts off of me cause i will sell the car as a whole or i have a catless and catted y-pipe, black body kit, stock MAF but i have many upgrades on the car
