My car has Autolite XP Iridium plugs in it. They work fine....I didn't put them in though, so I have no idea on how many miles they've been in there.

Bosch +4 are crap, I don't think anyone, anywhere has had good luck with them. For some people they...work, but there is no reason to buy them over anything else.

I do, put them in before I found out how bad they are supposed to be. 500+ miles and no issues that I know of. I'll probably swap them at somepoint.

I would say go with Motorcrafts.

I had a bad wire with bosh 4 and swapped in a motorcraft. It ran worse. Want to see difference then take off two wires, insert two plugs and watch how the bosch has a bigger spark!

Yes, because tens of thousands of people across multiple message boards (not exclusive the the SHO, or Fords), must be incorrect about their experiences with Bosch plugs.

I don't really understand the point of your comment. If you had a bad wire, it wouldn't matter which plug you put in the car.

Always been autolite for me. Clear back to the coppers in the old T-bird.

Doesn't autolite supply MC's plugs anyway?

edit:
This has probably been discussed many times before, but I was just looking through AL's selection vs the MC plug. The MC is a single plat with the fine electrode.
To get the fine electrode on an AL you have to get the IRID (XP) as neither their single plat (AP) nor double plat (APP) has the fine electrode.
So I guess autolite doesn't sell a plug exactly like the recommended MC, but the XP would exceed it, AP/AAP would meet/exceed it other than the fine wire.

The XPs worked great for me. I ran a set one step colder.

Have a brand new set if anyone wants them cheap.

I've got over 1600 of them out there with no problems reported to me by the owners.

I get reports from OTHERS, strangely enough, but never hear from the owners directly. Happens a lot in the SHO world.

huh.

I've also replaced several sets with 70 to 100 k on them for satisfied owners and the 4 well worn kernel paths are plenty fine evidence to me to keep doing what I'm doing.

Your results may vary.
