Can't keep power to her long enough to hold any codes. She did a little better on starting fluid, until we got flames out the intake. Couldn't get an accurate or consistent reading with my xeon light, but i pulled the timing cover and both cams and the crank are in time.

Still mad tho
I've replaced these numerous times on multiple cars, the ends tend to break

The cam sensor being full of oil. Did you replace the cam seal or just cleaned it out and put on a new one. Are you able to pull any stored codes?

Wasn't able to get any codes.

I didn't replace the seal yet, didn't want to put any other work into her until I knew she could run. I did briefly try a new sensor. I bought the seal and fully intend to replace it before driving again.

did you check to see there is only one orange rubber seal in the cam sensor. When you pull the connector, the orange seal sometimes gets stuck in the mating connector. it is supposed to stay inside the cam sensor connector. I had this happen to me and found two orange seals which prevented the car from running right. I read about this happening to someone else on the forum. I was about to give up on the car until I read about this possible scenario. The connectors will mate but it is such a tight fit, the connection is barely being made

did you check your grounds
how old is the crank sensor, do you know when it was last replaced. since its trying to start, I would think the sensor is still working

k, think I'll replace the cam seal and sensor in the morning. Does anybody know of an aftermarket equivalent to TA-32 sealant?

I have not heard of that sealant before, I just use black RTV, a thin coat around the outer surface of the seal

To see if the cam sensor is the issue, you can try unplugging it and then try and start it. It could take a few tries since the sensor is not there to tell the engine when to fire

Nothing like a good coffee and sanity check in the morning.

The right hand cam is ******** by one tooth. Don't know how I missed this a week ago :p

Well, now I feel dumb. Some searching led me to a thread with a weak spark problem.

Those two bolts on the intake crossover? Yeah, guess those need to be tight.
So, between that and the computer, i guess she runs! Still wanna fix the leaky seal but for now she runs!
Now, excuse me while I take a test drive to Dairy Queen.
