Source for new backup camera

I can't seem to find one of these for under ~$400. Autoanywhere quoted me $90 but then emailed to say, oops, it's actually $435. Mine is so cloudy as to be almost worthless. Has anyone been able to find one at a reasonable price.... say, $200?

I wish I could find that thread. I might just try taking the thing apart and see if I can "defog" it. It's pretty useless right now anyway.

A bit of an update on this:

First, there is no point trying to take the camera out/apart to clean it. It is a one piece, sealed unit. It appears that the cloudiness is due to the camera's internal lense failing.

However....the good news is that by using part # DG1T-19G490-AC, you can order just the camera itself for $50 from Amazon, among other sites. I'll update when I receive mine, but it's coming from Hong Kong, so shipping will probably take a month

I have read that I will need to take it to the dealership after installing the new camera to get the reverse lines calibrated. Wonder how much that will be?

I believe camera calibration can be done with Forscan (the full version/Windows), not sure about Forscan Lite. I would ask them on their forum, http://forscan.org/forum/

New camera arrived about 15 minutes ago. Installed it and it is nice and clear. The backup assist lines were gone, but I went into camera settings, disabled enhanced backup assist and then re-enabled it and they are there now! Nice

Top picture is new, bottom is old. Same place same time of day. Top picture it was wet outside though. Both pictures are in the dark and have exhaust smoke in them

Pop trunk, pop out black push in things, take carpet trunk lid cover off. 2 screws holding on the pull. 1 screw holding in the camera. Pretty easy. Like said before the lines did not show up on the screen after install. I loaded a different tune and they came back. No need to go back to dealer if you have a tune, not sure how to restart sync otherwise.

So ForScan allows you to go in and update/change settings, or did you change setting in the vehicle SYNC settings? My backup camera has a mind of it's own, meaning it does NOT work the vast majority of the time but will decide to come out of retirement for brief intervals before I get the "See Dealer for service" message.

I didn't do anything with sync... I just loaded a different tune, I think it resets sync every time you load a tune
