Sound deadener

Cleaning out the sho and decided to pull the back seats and go on a treasure hunt for change. I noticed that the sound deadener smells. Has anyone ever pulled this out and noticed a difference in road noise. It is my daily driver and I don't mind a little noise but I'm not convinced that it will make that much of a difference. But I don't know! 95 MTX

Yes, it makes a difference. If yours is bad just hit up your local junkyard and get a nicer one. I found a perfect one for $7 at my local one.

Ok wasn't quite sure if the sound would be overwhelming or not but for under 20 bucks why not.

Overwhelming? Probably not. The rear seat will also absorb some of the sound. But, that piece was put there for a reason, not because they had some extra left over and decided to stick it there.

You could try to wash it...

I sprayed it liberally with Febreeze and letting it sit for a while. hopefully that will take care of it.

that's not going to **** mold bacteria in it. you need to replace it with one that did not get wet.

Mold will not continue to live if you remove the moisture.
