I was traveling down I-95, headed into work. Just cruising in my baby.. I look down for a second, look back up and the traffic in front of me was at a dead stop, I didn't even have time to hit the brakes.

Thankfully the damage isn't all that bad, the radiator was leaking heavily, but I'm pretty confident that she can be fixed and as good as new.

Don't know why traffic was stopped, but I knew better than to take my eyes off the highway.

Sad day watching her leave on a flat bed. Hopefully I'll have her back soon.

Aw man, that sucks! Hope the frame is undamaged, then you are off to a good start for repairs. You are ok, though?

Often faced the same situation on the 495 exit from I66 (traffic dead stop that is). One time was a REALLY close call.

Yeah I'm good, just a mark on my arm from the air bag. But these things are tanks!

I hope the frame is undamaged as well, need a new radiator, that's for sure. But other than the hood and some bumper damage, she's good.

I'm assuming it is, the radiator was leaking fluid pretty bad.

I got a notification stating my car was at the collision center and they've started doing the estimate, so I will hopefully see what all is wrong by the end of the day.

Could be worse

Body work on modern cars adds up quick. Hope they can finalize it and get the SHO back to you ASAP.

Similar issue happened to me on I-81 in VA last summer. Traffic suddenly stopped.
Luckily my adaptive cruise and collision avoidance stomped the brakes and I stopped inches short of the car in front of me. The car behind me went off into the grass.
As quick as the traffic stopped, it restarted at full speed, odd how that happens.
Glad your OK, hopefully the SHO will be good as new.

That's exactly what happened to me, traffic was moving freely almost immediately, minus the accident. 95 in the morning is just plain terrible.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I'm glad it wasn't worse, and my SHO isn't totaled.

Collision avoidance? hmm I wonder if mine has that. Apparently not haha
