It changes the whole harmonics of the engine. It is hard to explain, but my car sounds amazing in the cab. If others with the TQ mounts see this, I am sure they will chime in.
But you have an aftermarket exhaust, don't you? Mine is bone stock.

I had a completely stock exhaust system when I installed my TQ mounts. I have since added the downpipes, custom mid pipes along with the magnaflow resonator. The TQ mounts changed the tone of the car the most.

That’s interesting that the torque mounts affect the cabin sound...
How difficult to install ?

I’ll chime. If you are interested in this mod I’d only suggest getting the Anthony Dicunzolo mounts.

The torque mounts are a very easy install. Two bolts for each mount. The change in sound is unbelievable. It is however only in the cabin. What’s happening is you’re basically making the connection more rigid between the trans and frame. So, the sound (and vibration) resonates through the whole car.

If you ever thought, I can’t tell if the car is even running, that won’t be the case anymore. Especially at very low RPM you feel the car running. I personally love it. And, the shift improvement is better than my tune produced. I did have the idle raised to 700 and that made a drastic difference in vibration. It was never unbearable just had a buzz at 600 that went away at 700.

Thanks— I like the simple things like this that improve the cars rigidity and function. I will do these immediately.
I’m thinking drop in filter, fluid changes, catch can, mounts and then the tune.

I didn't notice any major difference in cabin sound when I installed my mounts, but it's hard to hear anything over the blaring horrible sounds the corsa exhaust puts out. Not keeping the stock exhaust on is my greatest regret. I still have it in pieces in the garage, but I wasted so much money on the corsa I just can't bring myself to take it off.

The biggest thing I noticed after the mounts is how the steering wheel feels. It's much tighter, less slop, just feels like a much more expensive car with the mounts. The violent "oh crap did I just break something" 1st to 2nd gear shift is gone now also.

I emailed him and got no response regarding the mounts.
I noticed SSM is having a sale on theirs. They also give some Street/Track options and one of them is an “adjustable” Option. I’ve read so many things over the last year of posting. Can Anyone offer any experience info?
I’m thinking I will go with the SSM mounts for the money (on sale now). They look like nice pieces and have grease inserts for an extra $5.

I would steer clear of SSM. There have been issues with them, and they look like a 3rd grader welded them. I personally would only use Anthony's.

I have my list of vendors and people I will be contacting for mods —- LMS isn’t one of them.
If you guys have to lurk on new owners via forums, you’re doing it all wrong.
