Have an ATX car that I swapped out the trans for an MTX, so now I have a 3.2 MTX. If I were to buy a Tweecer, where would you guys suggest I start? Anybody have a nice working tune for a 3.2 MTX SHO running the D4u1? The car runs strong, but very rich at WOT and I know there is more power in her....

you buy the one for whichever computer you are using, didn't know it was different though.

if it is a d4u1 ecu running in your car, you need supporting stuff for a d4u1

You say it is rich at WOT are you going off a wideband? What are the mods to the car? IE: MAF and or Injectors.

edit: btw it would be cheaper to buy a moates quarterhorse and a Binary Editor license from Adam. With the QH you can datalog twice as many pids at once and also make changes while the vehicle is running.

Thanks for the info, that is an interesting piece. I like the dot matrix displays you can get, it reminds me of Daytona USA the arcade game, lol. The reason I even bring this up is b/c I know where there is one at a buddy's house sitting on a shelf collecting dust....and here I have a SHO that is puffing out black smoke at WOT when it is in good running condition. I figure I may as well get an 80mm MAF while I'm at it.

Nothing wrong with the tweecer, if there is one sitting around use it. Again though why are you running that rich to you have mods done to the fuel system or something ?

Maybe the D4U1 is setup conservatively to take it easy on that **** poor AX4S that I blew up by having a very rich program and pulling back timing in anticipation of a WOT shift....

As far as the trans I see there are values which I can change. Since I have swapped in an MTX trans I'm wondering if there is a way to disable all the trans functions? Can I just set the values to zero?

Also there is a scalar which lists a value for "Minimum ECT for Torque Reduction" Hmmm...I would definitely LOVE to raise this? Can I simply input a 250 degree F value?

If you get the tweecer and installed the manual tune, the PCM will be running the X2J? MTX software along with the appropriate tables. I would get the TweecerRT from Josh at SHONut.

Got the wideband installed today. I also downloaded the Tweecer software and have been getting familiar with CalEdit and CalCon. I have not hooked up the Tweecer to the SHO yet... However there was a D4U1 file already on the Tweecer and I already found many ATX trans functions that I would like to turn off now that it's an MTX. Also the torque reduction scalar really intrigues me.

So while doing some more interw3b searching... I found this software called Binary Editor or BE for short. This seems like to me the upgraded version of CalEdit. I have also found another lil gem called EEC Analyzer or EA for short. This would be the better version (by leaps and bounds) of CalCon. It also seems to me that it is the actual software that does the tuning for you, the end user can then adjust from there. The research continues....

lol...I wish it were that simple. I put 300 as the value on mine and noticed no difference in my atx. I am far from stock though and still manage to bog badly at the track for the first 60 ft and some after. I'm going to be linking up with adam to get this resolved. It's not cool running mid 15's when the car screams mid-low 14's on the street.

Most healthy atx's stock run about 89-90 mph with low 15's and 2.2 60 ft's. I'm running low 15's with 2.4-2.7 60ft's at 96 mph. LOL...funny, but annoying.

See my post above.

But as far as doing the tuning for you yes sorta. If you buy the moates if will do the maf automatically. Not sure how well this works, you can use EA to tune the maf but again i dont know how accurate it is. The way i do it is go to the fuel table and enter the same value for 100% load say 12.5 afr. Then do some datalogging wideband afr vs maf flow (and or maf v) and adjust appropriately, this will be better.

Just to be clear though Binary Editor replaces both CalCon and Caledit. EEC Analyzer is an extra utility to help the novice.

Thank you for the input, I appreciate it. I just recently started driving my SHO regularly again (it was a 3rd vehicle for awhile). I have a high flow Y pipe running the stock MAF. Now that I think of it I remember meeting you once at the Dunkin Donuts off Thompson??

You'll finally be able to unlock the 300hp that the car was supposed to come with until Ford detuned it.

So what is the general consensus here as far as making numbers? 3.2 MTX running the D4U1, 80mm MAF, bored TB, high flow Y pipe, P&P intake, BBB's and Tweecer R/T? 230hp?

id say higher... with the tweecer and just a good tune thats about 10 hp on its own its stupid rich. a y pipe is something like 12 whp or soemthing?
BBB 10 hp intake being P&P its hard to say.

You'll finally be able to unlock the 300hp that the car was supposed to come with until Ford de-stroked and de-bored it and made it reliable.

personally id say it was cams and intake then revved higher but that was me.
