Yep. I just searched back a little, I think it was Ryan that owned that car before. Sig said it had a Dynomax catback with Magnaflows on it.

Yes, this was Ryan Daly's (ryan21288) car. He sold it cheap, must've needed cash fast...

Hey Runyon, did he pay up yet, or is it time for us to go bounty hunting? Cuz I'm totally down with that.

Yep, Dynomax with (poorly installed) Magnaflows. Nice mufflers, IMO. Crappy install. You need to get up to NESHO so we can weld those on properly and fab some hangers.

No offense, I know you didn't install them, and I think you got a fair deal on the car.

The Dynomax catback resonator is fairly short. The longer and fatter the resonator is, the better the car will sound, IMO. So, yes. The longest fattest glasspack you can fit in will work, or SHOSource sells a nice Magnaflow resonator that will work. Little pricier, about $65 I think.

Should I still get a glasspack or two on there or leave it alone?

Yes, but to replace the resonator back in the middle of the car, after the y-pipe. It's that fatter part that goes round the shifter. Have that cut out, and have a bigger one welded it. Getting another one put in between that one and the rear suspension would be good, also.

Unless your muffler guy has a nice fat single glasspack/resonator.

You need more/bigger resonators in there to cut the rasp with those mufflers, or for any non-stock muffler that has some sound.

As I mentioned earlier.....a $15 glasspack becomes $65 wnen it's called a "resonator"!!

I briefly pulled the resonator on my '99 SHO, and the inside sure looked like a glasspack to me. Of course, Ford probably gets $150 for it.

I somewhat agree. The Magnaflow resonator is fatter than a glasspack, meaning more packing (am I turning you on yet?), and more uh, muffling I guess you could call it. It's also SS, if that matters to the car owner.

Being that the Dynomax system is galvanized steel, I'd just go the $20 glasspack route.

Well umm That thing. I suppose thats the glasspack?

So I should have that one cut out and one put there? It doesn't look like theres space after the Y pipe after the subframe to put one. The Y sort of ends right there.

Yes, that's the resonator, which is purportedly the same as what's commonly referred to as a glasspack.

An exhaust installer would have to get a little creative, but there are some flat spots where you could fit another one or two.

What time on Saturday and where?

I don't think I'm gonna have my normal mech do anything to it other than put up on his lift and have a looksee underneath to see if everything is in good working condition

Yes, that's the factory resonator. Get a bigger one in there.

Plus, in looking left in that pic, you can fit another one in the pipe behind it, and ahead of the axle.

Ah that's the factory one. Okies.
And left in that pic is the front of the car

With that factory one out surely there's enough space to weld two in somewhere
