So I broke my cherry

3rd gear took a dump, then I broke the input shaft.

All on 350TQ... We Dyno'd it at Carlisle, and on a base tune, it made 288whp 350tq.

So, thats all it takes to grenade a trans...

We had a discussion about what shouldnt break 3rd, and its 300wtq. You should be able to accomplish this on about 8psi or less.

Nope. Was being nice to it, sort of... Until I broke the input shaft... That was a no lift shift into 2nd at 12psi... :wave:

yeah but not til 5am. Me and Scott were both getting tired and shit the whole way so we were taking it easy. Im not gonna lie, i liked driving it. The gears are very similar to my mtx.

Up to a point, this can be true, but once you are near 350ft lbs, it is simply a matter of time, the gears can not take the stress.
