smell

got a 97 with 56 on the clock and recently i have a nasty smell in the passenger compartment and above the passenger fronny tire. i think it is oil . i dont see anything obvious and it doesnt drip, when i turn on heat or ac it gets worse... any ideas??????????????????

Perhaps your cabin air filter is really nasty, or you had a critter crawl up under the hood somewhere and die.

Yeah, I've had a slight burning oil smell that has crept up over the past few months- not too happy about it. Mostly it only smells when I'm stopped in place for a while.
Also, it hasn't dripped a single drop of oil either! :shrug: WTF!?

I told you last weekend that the nasty smell was probably ......ahhhhh......how can I say,......ahhhh............YOU! :oogle: .... Personal hygene is a daily routine. :laugh_ti: But if that doesn't get take care of it stop up this week I have a new pollen filter for it the garage compliments from mine since it probably isn't going to come back home anytime soon or if it does at all.Your welcome to it.
And I can also take a look under it for you to make sure there isn't anything leaking on the exhaust.Call or just stop up later I'll be out there all week cleaning.
