sluggish in 3rd?

i dunno...maybe its just me but my car feels sluggish in 3rd gear, especially in the higher rpms. In 1st and 2nd it feels fine (several runs produced sub 7 second 0-60 times). but on the highway 3rd gear just doesnt seem like all its cracked up to be on the forum. They exhaust is not clogged, so thats not it. The fuel pump does make an audible whine but i think thats normal. I think the fuel filter is stock (not positive) but i am planning on replacing that very shortly anyway. I dont know what would cause a lack of power in 3rd gear but not 1st and 2nd so maybe its just me. Thanks for any info.

Definitely change out that fuel filter, especially if it's stock. I doubt it's the problem you're describing anyways but would be a good idea to change. Should be changed every 30K or so. What type of lack of power are you experiencing in 3rd on the highway? Did you run it to redline and not get the results you are expecting? Or did it not have the pickup you were expecting?

well first of all it just doesnt seem to have the punch i would expect. Like if i put it in 3rd at 70, it doesnt seem like it would own the highway. Also it seems a bit hesitant to reach the redline, although 1st and 2nd reach redline no problem. Again its prob just me imagining things. The only way to know for sure would be if i were to race someone, but i really have not had the oppurtunity.
