I am going to look at a 93 SHO with a wrecked front end(hit a tree). I haven't even looked at it yet but from what I see and what the seller says it needs front bumper, radiator, radiator support, all the lights are done, and the head panel. The 1/4s look fine from the picture but I can't tell. My question is can I swap everything over from a normal taurus? I know things are different like the bumper, headlights, header panel, etc. Say I have a 93 regular taurus with a good front clip can I just swap it over onto the 93 SHO? Depending how bad the radiator support is I might just pull it out and if I could do that I wanted to bolt the taurus header panel.

but whats not compatible? I'm talking everything. I don't plan on using any front end SHO parts because I want a cheap fix. What would prevent me from bolting it up?

^ Don't know where you got that info.

All SHO/SLO body parts are interchangeable. You can't have SLO lights with a SHO bumper (or vice versa), but if you have SLO lights and bumper, you should be fine. It'll look silly with the SHO body kit starting behind the wheels though.

Not much room between the engine and the radiator, if he busted the front up that badly you might want to check the engine for damage too. Check the front of the subframe where it bolts on as well.

As far as I know if you swap the SHO front clip with a SLO front clip it should work just fine. But you can't mix and match. If you use a SLO front clip everything has to be from a SLO and vice versa, except the hood.

ok thats all I needed to know guys. Thats what I thought but I just wanted to check. The damage is bad enough that the radiator is busted so I guess I won't know how bad it is until I get there.

It sucks because I have all headlights, bumpers, etc from a 91 SHO in the same exact color but obviously they won't work

thats what i meant like you can't mix and match if your gonna use all SLO parts you'll be fine but it'll look weird im sure you can pick up parts for the SHO cheap enough i actually have everything you'd need radiator, fan and shroud, header panel lights, bumper and cover i actually have the whole bumper where it goes into the body and bolts to the support... and if the core support is totaled you could proly cut and weld the whole front support piece.... if you want i would sell it fairly cheap

that isnt true eather.....i didnt think it was possible, till the other day on my way to work i saw a white familiar looking front end flying up on me.....was a 94/95 white GL with a SHO nose and rear bumper and it still had the SLO headlights on it

didnt look good at all, and had gaps all over but they were there

Yeah, they will. As long as you bolt on the entire front clip from the 91. Body lines may be off from the front clip to the rear, and of course moldings are different. Underneath it's the same though.

OK so we'll clarify: You can't use SLO lights with a SHO bumper, or vice versa, without looking like a halfass. :omgsho:

The gen 2 uses the majority of the front end from a Sable. You might be able to even use the actual bumper behind the bumper cover from a Sable, and just install the SHO bumper cover. The header panel is from a Sable, just as the lights.
