slo body parts on a sho???

okay, my car is kinda smashed up and i was just wondering if a hood and a front passenger side quarter panel off of a regular taurus would work for replacing it. i also have to replace the passenger door, front bumper headlight, antenna, and part of the real bumper broke off and some of the steel by the battery is all bent up. any cheap ideas? i had no insurance when this happened so it is all coming out of my pocket.

I believe the only things that are SHO specific are the front & rear bumper covers & the add on lower door & rocker covers. Otherwise its a stock Taurus with a stock Sable hood & front fenders (Gen-II in your case).
Others will confirm I hope. If not check a body shop manual.

How can you drive a car without insurance? I thought that was illegal.

The hood is not a stock sable hood. It may have sable skin on it, but the reinforcing (bracing) under the skin is SHO specific.

Liability insurance is required virtually everywhere to protect the other motorists on the road.

Comprehensive and collision covers YOUR vehicle. It doesn't make sense to buy these insurance coverages for a car that's only worth up to 2-3 grand. Essentially, you become self insured for your own loss for these vehicles.

For the Gen II's,the hood skin is Sable, but bracing is SHO unique. Front fenders and lighting is Sable. Front and rear bumber covers and claddng is SHO specific. The rest is Taurus.
