hey guys,

before posting i searched, and searched, and searched, to no avail. I searched for "hesitation". My problem is that i have a slight hesitation at anything but WOT, and once you floor it you feel it kind of waking up. If you give it steady gas, you can feel it holding itself back, you know what i mean? hard to explain in text, but like the engine wants to rev higher for the gas its getting, its most noticeable in first and when the car is first driven in the day, even in second it improves substationally.

My search pretty much told me to check for oil in my wells and change the wires plugs. Changed for oil, none, maybe a couple specs, my car just recently (500 miles ago) had a full 60k done, shawn (93superSHO) can attest to what was done, but he did the best he could with what he had, the wires looked pretty rugged so i swapped those out for a pair on my ATX (out of commission, needs an ECU) that are brand new, didnt change the plugs because they all looked fine i.e. not corroded fine spacing between the prong and plug. i think it did help with acceleration but did nothin for the hesitation. The car had been sitting for two years with a blown motor, so i guess it could be a fuel problem maybe? the motor was swapped for a scrap yard motor with 110k.

It's a good running car, it just doesnt seem to have the pull it should, and the hesitation kinda contests to that. what do you guys think? any help would be appreciated. I also have a slight exhaust leak, i know that usually doesnt mean anything on most cars but this is the SHO and it does have the wierdest problems :p. i know it could account for a slight loss in power but its not bad at all, it just isnt quiet, but for all i know its a huge loss:nut: . Am going to clean the MAF once i get some electro cleaner. Most people would be perfectly fine with a slight hesitation but i cant stand to not have the car pull like it should, in comparison, it SEEMS like my ATX (233,000) pulled much harder, but they've never gone next to eachother so its hard to say.
