The 94 has both a tuner/tape deck and factory CD below that. The CD player has been dieing since I bought the car a few months ago and now its getting to the point where I cant really play anything. It will take at least a minute to find a track, and then it will skip and miss as it plays. Sometimes it works normally but not very often. Im looking just to replace the CD head unit and leave the radio/tape deck installed. Will I need an aftermarket harness for the new CD player? What do y'all recommend as a good model to complement the JBL system?

thanks

Silas

If you want a factory unit that has a CD player, look for the 1 din units that came in Contours/Mystics. It may have come in other cars as well. Its a radio/CD player. You'll lose the tape player, but I don't know many people that still listen to tapes on a regular basis.
