SHO n OFF

Is there any down sides to converting the rear section to just one muffler by removing the Y and just having one outlet? Less tq? less hp? would it hurt the motor?

My recommendations are a catted, high flow y pipe, larger mid pipe with the longests resonator you can find, and a good muffler.gl
Loosing your cats and resonator AND muffler will decrease low end torque (no back pressure) and sound like complete ass crack.. it will sound like a hive of loud, angry bees are following you around. I would not recommend going with straight pipes..

I stand corrected then.
I still favor cats for the sound and reduced smell..
I think that belongs on a Honda.
On a stock SHO don't go ANY bigger than 2.5'' on the single portions and 2.25'' on the dual portions..
Again, just my .02
What do you guys think?
2.25 is perfecr for the primaries Off the manifolds, but i know pleanty of N/A sho's that can utilyze a 3" exhaust. Including myself.
