is there a gasket that goes inbetween the exhaust manifold and the y-pipe?

95 mtx.


stock ex. mani. going to a custom Y-pipe.. i have a ex. leak somewhere.


what type of gasket?

no there is not.... not on ANY V6 SHO. There is a gasket from the heads to the exhaust manifold, and one from the Y-pipe to the Catback,(atx have a thin "regular" gasket, MTX's have a donut gasket.) But there are no gaskets between the y-pipe and manifolds.

Look for black soot, or jack the front of the car up, support it with jackstands, chalk the back wheels, turn the car on, feel around for leaks. MAKE SURE THE CAR IS SUPPORTED CORRECTLY WITH STANDS!!!!!!

so if its a big collector smothering a small collector... with no gasket used... how the **** do you fix the leak?
