New owner of a SHO. Love working on car, previous owner hit a deer and the SHO lost. Have restored front frame, clip and headlights. Cowl hood next step. Car has 111,000 and was running fine. Then other day when I started the car it ran fine until you let off the gas then it would die like the deer did and when you tried to start it would not fire up, Wait a couple hrs and would start and do same thing. Am not a good mechanic but a **** of a venison tenderloin expert on grill. Thanks for any help.

Do you hear the fuel pump turn on when you attempt to start the car. This sounds like a CPS problem from a leaking water pump but can be an issue with the power to the fuel pump, as well.

Lulz.

I agree with the others... sounds primarily like the crank position sensor died, with a possible secondary fuel pump or CCRM fault (the big box on the driver's side radiator support with the enormous plug going to it).
