I ordered a rebuilt transaxle from shoshop It grenaded in 8000 miles. Altho Vadim clearly advertises Rebuilt transaxles in his guide log and on the net (shoshop.com, drivetrain) he only rebuilds the transmission and mates it with a return core differential which is uninspected and of undocumented wear and milage.It is further stated in the web site that the expected life of the differential is 200000 miles. The core that I sent him with a bad 2 gear synchro had 186000 miles of hard use. BY his own statements he mates a rebuilt transmission with a expected life of ?150000 miles with a differential with ? 14000 miles of design life left. and charges 1000 dollars for the priviledge. He states that he gives a reference list of parts he replaces. I am not a mechanic .I dont know the internals of a differential or transmission I only know there were tranny and differential parts on that list. I did not know as Vadim did of the probability of old differentials grenading because of previous hard use and persistant lack of lubrication over its life causing erosion and excessive end play in the spider gear shafts causing failure and catastrophic results. I got a differential that vadim could have easily installed a pin kit for 40.00 but he finds it easier to blame it on abuse over the 8000 miles I had the transaxle and not the perhaps 186000 miles it had with ?hard use by the previous owner. Then he refuses to take any responsibility.I cannot tell anyone to boycott shoshop ,even though that would achiev my ends, because he is the only source of a lot of sho speciality equipment but I would urge people to try to find alternate suppliers or deal with hi distributors who are more accssesible and responsive such as josh or fpm. Vadim is egocentric has a low opinion of people giving advice on the forums he calls them a bunch of "garage mechanics"Cincy sho is a gas station and used car lot ect.In my opinion he is not responsive at least in my issues with him and I would urge caution in dealing with him. Pay by credit card and get everything confirmed in writing and educate yourself it what you want and what are you really getting. He does not deliver what he advertises. ANd some of you may remember he is sometimes bad wrong as in stating as he still does on web and print that you cannot convert a 3.2 to a mtx. So buy from him if you must but do your research and question,question,question Thanks Jim
