Does anyone know if a "Haynes" or "Chilton" repair manual for the 1996-1999 Taurus has much information in it concerning the SHO model?
Just wondering if there is a manual out there for us. shrug

Thanks for the info, I have seen these on ebay also but I just thought there might be a hard copy manual out there. Other than suspension and drive train, and of course, engine, wouldn't one of these "Haynes" or "Chilton" manuals do for most things such as wiring diagrams, and panel removal, things like that? shrug

The Ford CDs have all the info that the dealer uses. There is more info on them than in the Helm book. You get the electrical and vacuum manual too. The best bet for the Gen 3s is the DVD that you can get from The Flat Rate Technician board. They currently are out of stock on the DVD but it has tons more info than any CD would have. Plus you can easily copy and paste the tables and pictures into other programs. The Cds you have to take screen shots to get pictures out of them and the tables always come out screw3d up when doing a copy.

The DVDs also have all the TSB and recall info on them plus are good for all Ford cars and trucks from '96 to '03.

Thanks for all the info, does that CD tell you how to remove panels and things, or have wiring diagrams in it as well? What is the actual title of the CD?

It does have all of that info, but the CD was actually a burned CD, although i dont mind. It says it is a "Ford 1999 Workshop Information Car" on it.
