Just got through putting in SHOnut's basic Fuel Pressure Regulator kit. I have to say that Josh has THE BEST instructions I have ever used :salute: . All the parts I needed were there, and the regulator fit like a glove. I even was able to fit it under the stock plastic cover on the firewall.

It took a little longer than I expected to install it, but that is my fault for just being over cautious. I think it could be installed in about 2-3 hours for a first timer, but I took about 6 hours (want to be extra careful around fuel). I would recommend everyone check the tightness of all of the fittings before installing. I thought they were tight, but one turned out to have a major leak  after it had worked itself loose during installation.

Results? Who needs results when it looks cool (or it did look cool until I covered it up with the plastic cover). I have yet to get a lot of time on the car, but I can tell you that before installation, I was at 42-44psi on the fuel rails with the engine off and the fuel pump running (should be 39 psi). After installation I was able to dial it in to a repeatable and rock solid 39psi. I know the car has been running very rich at low rpms (I have a 255lph high pressure fuel pump), and the car was very doggy at the low end.

More updates to follow, but I just wanted to brag on Josh a bit. Fit and instructions are the best I have ever seen. :thumb:

Make sure to reset the computer (although you may have had the battery out while doing the FPR install). That will reset all the fuel trims, and allow the computer to relearn how to run... Minus, of course, the over-rich condition at low load.

The car made it out for a good test drive last night. It is my wife's car, and she is the one who tracks it, so she took it out for the test

She had a BIG smile :D getting out of the car (the test drive was over 30 minutes  and I wondered if sehe was coming back). She said the low end bogging is gone and the car is much easier to launch. The power is back and I know the car is running better.

I know this is a fix from when I shot myself in the foot last year by putting in a 255 lph fuel pump :bonk: , but at that time I had not heard about the problems and I was getting ready for the S/C.

That said, I wonder what other people are running for fuel pressure at the rail(engine off, fuel pump running). Please post your pressures if you get a chance. If the stock regulator is not accurate, or is plugged, this might be a good mod for other people with low end issues.
