Anyone have any info on these, or better have installed them?

On their site, it shows the PBR 2 piston aluminum calipers, caliper brackets, and rotors. But they don't list the rotor size.

I was just given brand new calipers, rotors, and pads for an 03 Mustang GT (same calipers). The Mustang rotors are 10.9". If the SHOBros setup is the same, then I'll just get the brackets from them. Otherwise I'll make them up myself.

Also, anyone have a pic of the 94/95 knuckles? Just curious what the difference is from what I have.

The SHOBros Stage II uses 10.9 rotors. The same rotors that come standard on '94-95 SHOs and 94-00 Tauruses will work under the PBR Mustang GT Calipers that you have. I'm not sure if SHOBros has just the caliper brackets, but it sounds like that's all you need, if you have the correct knuckles.

You will need to get your own brackets.

The bolt up portion is very different on the 89-93 versus 94-95 knuckles. To bolt them on you will need 94-95 knuckles.

On the 93 back spindles, the caliper bolts directly to the spindle, on 94/95 the calipers have a bracket that bolts to the spindle then the caliper bolts to the bracket. You'll need 94/94 spindles for the swap.

I have brand new Mustang rotors, and just redrilled the holes to fit. The offset is almost identical to the SHO rotor offset. All I really need is the mounting brackets I guess (and knuckles).

So you're saying either: 1- use my knuckles and make my own brackets or 2- use 94-95 knuckles and the SHOBros brackets?

You will need to buy the brackets unless you want to fabricate enterly new brackets.

Then you can either get the 94/95 which they will bolt up to directly or make adapters to fit to the 93.

This system is only a marginal upgrade over stock and not suitable for much racing.

I found these brakes to be very lacking on a road course. For a street car, they will give you a little extra time before you start to warp rotors. They do, however, have a very nice pedal feel.

Cobra's on 11.6" rotors are much better, will work on the road course, and fit under slicers.

Power Surge - I think there is still confusion as far as "brackets" go. To bolt the mustang calipers up, you don't need a special "SHO Bros only" adapter bracket that relocates the mouting holes.

What you do need are the factory Ford Mustang Caliper mouting brackets. They are the U shaped bracket that hold the pads. This type of bracket is used on the rear brakes on all SHOs. The 89-93 front brakes don't use a bracket as the pads "click" into the calipers whick then mount directly onto the spindles using slider bolts.

Okay, just to rule out my own confusion....

If I use the 94/95 knuckles, then the stock PBR caliper brackets bolt right up to those knuckles? Or is there STILL a seperate bracket to attach the stock PBR caliper brackets to the knuckle?

As for the braking power, I am not worried about that. The stock brakes work fine for me. I think the dual piston PBRs would be a nice upgrade for me. I don't use my car like some of you guys who need crazy braking do.

If you have 94-95 knuckles, then you can bolt the PBR bracket directly to the knuckle. No extra bracketry.

94/95 Taurus/Sable Knuckles (ABS knuckles required if you have ABS)
94/95 Taurus/Sable 10.9" Rotors
99-04 Mustang GT PBR 2 *** calipers and brackets
99-04 Mustang GT Banjo Bolt (you don't WANT to know how hard they are to find)

SS lines fit the calipers like a dream. Stock lines require some minor clearancing around the hyd. fitting area. DO NOT DAMAGE THE MATING SURFACE WHERE THE BANJO BOLT AND WASHER SEALS. I'm sure you knew that part though. :)

Thoughts... don't use ****** pads. I used the revised Performance Friction Carbon Metallic pads, and after a spirited high speed session somewhere in upstate [Mexico]...

I'm going to give the new EBC Yellowstuff a try and see how they are. They're advertised as a true street/track pad.
