The focus from 2000 - 2004 was a great track car.... I can all ready see that making the SHO handle remotely like it will be hard. The focus even its its stock form was a good handling car.. with work its like fly paper....lol
Sub-frame bushings will be my first sept on the SHO. and trying to finish my control blade set up.

I bought the focus lowered with svt suspension ;) my sho's got koni/intrax on it and it handles so close to as good even with the sloppy slicer's tires.. The focus is such a tiny, short, light car that it's hard to compete with a big 4 door sedan.

Idk about that... but as long as you like it

same 4 on/off ramps goin to work and back every day.. and I drive the SHO about 30% of the time. I know how to read a speed odometer and notice when the car is loosing grip.

im not sure if it really fits the whole design of the car, but i have to say i like the bumper because it is different. i am getting tired of my sho with all the money i have in it look the same as all the other shos i see with 50 year old ladies at the wheel. it is kind of disheartening to know that my work and money hasnt really made my car that unique.

would i ever do this to my car... no.
but i give you all the respect in the world for doing something original and labor intensive. that alone is worth alot of props in my book.

Sorry Guys For Taking So Long To Repost.............................

Work and life has been nuts the passed few months. So most of the SHO stuff was put on hold... (Rear brake/blade mod and the front Facisa)
The project will be on going this weekend. Hoping to have some new pics up after this weekend.
Problems so far.....
1) Front Rebar......lol well doesn't fit under the new facisa. After all the cutting and grafting is done , I well need to fab up a new one with some crash foam.
The 3M jet weld has done well with TE-200 at 250 deg. But still backing it with a 2 part epoxy with glass mash.

Nothing wrong with doing it different....i think it looks good and i gotta be honest all S.H.O.'s look the same other then maybe some fancy paint or wheels.....its a bout time somebody made a truly unique S.H.O. that stands apart from the rest. Keep up the awesome work!

OK...................
I'll be posting pics of the updated work on TUESDAY !!!!!
The RS front lower fascia has been glued to the factor upper facsia...
WOW ... WHAT A .... " PITA " That was.....
There is a lot of fill work to be done. The factor RS bumper has side vents.
You can get the bumper from BAT inc. BUT NOT THE VENTS !!!! They import euro ford parts to the US. As the RS was a very low production car there are no more vents to be had from ford / LDM . This will hopefully get better as ford may be bring some of its EURO line to the US to improve slowed sales here. ( Cheaper to Import / export parts for the same car... ) Than retool two plants building non-transferable parts.
ANYWAY..
So I had to delete the RS vents in the grafting of the two bumpers.
I need to loose about 2 inches of the front Re-Bar. This is a two peace constructed unit... Hoping to remove the forward peace of the Re-Bar and flat graft crash foam to that.
Next problem... The RS Focus was a wide body car..... about 4 or 5 inch wider than a standard focus..... even with its wider outer flaring the bumper was still to narrow ( about 1.5 inches ) The RS bumper is made from a Ploy.
( very short production run = Ploy )
the ploy is much stiffer than the Material used in the Stock SHO casting
This is making the opening at the wheels ( lower bumper away from the 3 bolts at the top attachment locations ) flare out due to the extra width of the SHO fascia. I will need to add support brackets to pull the bumper back into place in this location. Its not bad ..... About 3/4 of an inch on each side.
All in All I would say it coming along well....
I'll Post some pics Tommorrow....
Thanks for all the posts about the work that has been done so far........

I'd post a picture of a SHO that had the "Cars" treatment.... but i'll be nice.

IMHO it doesn't flow well and it just looks out of place alltogether. But props for the build and taking the risk of trying something new even though some will not like the end result.
